Wellness Consultations:

Plants & Fungi have dramatically shaped the way we walk through our world. We want to share what we’ve learned to aid you in connecting with bioregional brilliance & our ecological allies. We also strive to remind ourselves that these organisms are here with their own lives & reasons for being. How can we uplift their lives as we partner with them in being well? How can we give to those who give so much to us?

The first consultation is free & can include such topics as:

  • personalized/customized recommendations & formulations for general well-being, preventative approaches and/or specific ailments

  • information on extractions/infusions/preparations (capsules, tinctures, powders, oils & salves)

  • how to navigate the medicinal mushroom industry (labeling, sourcing, practices & products)

  • plant/fungal identification, growing or harvesting practices & constituents

With fifteen years of practice partnering with herbs & mushrooms, our current approach is as follows:

We encourage relationships in every manner. Ingesting medicine is familiar, but how can observing, listening, growing & harvesting also be a part of our wellness practice? How can we connect ourselves more intimately, more directly with the Earth body through the plant/fungal bodies?

Many folks who reach out to us are interfacing with non-linear, sometimes ambiguous “symptoms,” which we think of more as doorways, clues, or stories. Other folks are partially or completely uninterested in continuing exclusively on the sometimes linear, impersonal, industrial, & pathologizing ”medical” path. We think we must respond in kind and kindness with non-linear thinking as appropriate & personalized, adaptable methods. As our lives change, our paths to healing sometimes change as well.

Perhaps for someone the memory of a flowering scent from their childhood home brings feelings of calm & safety. For another, the memory of “childhood home” brings discontent & fear. Maybe the sound of a whirring hummingbird lights you with joy or the time of Autumn brings deep feelings of love.

How can we enfold these experiences in our approach to imbibing or ingesting the medicine all around us? What are those smells or emotional currents & how we can partner with them? What darkness must we dive in to find what hides there?

Pharmacology, alone, cannot always fully explain the healing process…
