A forest mushroom farm in west Sonoma County…

Moon Fruit Mushroom Farm is a trio of devoted mycophiles & Earth-lovers growing edible/medicinal mushrooms on logs.

Yes, this means all of our mushrooms come from trees, outdoors, year-round. Exceptionally minimal plastic (irrigation lines), no UV lights, no climate-controlled rooms & no autoclaves.

We currently have 8 different varieties of shiitake (Lentulina edodes), with reishi (Ganoderma lucidum) beginning to fruit and lion’s mane (Hericium erinaceus) experiments as well. We don’t inoculate turkey tail (Trametes versicolor), but we honor & harvest them when they inevitably appear!
